Complex Regional Pain Syndrome May 6th, 2015

CRPS victim wins £650,000

BLB Solicitors have settled a claim involving late-onset Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (“CRPS”) for £650,000.00.

Our client developed this debilitating condition in her dominant right hand and arm following a road traffic accident.

Partner, Richard Lowes said, “we were the third firm of solicitors to act for the Claimant after she became disillusioned with their lack of knowledge and understanding of her condition, which had only served to delay vital treatment. It was clear that we needed to act quickly.”

After instructing leading medical experts, BLB adopted a treatment focused approach, which saw our client attending a residential pain management and rehabilitation programme at the Bath Centre for Pain Services (BCPS). More recently she was recommended for spinal cord stimulation.

“Despite treatment, her condition will continue to have a devastating effect upon her life and career,” said Richard. “I’m certain that the chance of a better outcome was compromised by the early delay before we were involved. I sincerely hope that this financial cushion will at least go some way to providing her with the ongoing care, assistance and support she requires.”

Richard Lowes is a leading solicitor and recognised expert in litigation involving chronic pain.
