CRPS compensation victory for BLB Solicitors

BLB Solicitors have won a settlement of £260,000 for a victim of Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), 14 months after his former solicitors and a barrister advised him to accept an offer of £20,000.

The man in his forties had developed the debilitating condition after fracturing his ankle in a fall at work. Whilst he has now been able to return to part-time employment following treatment, his condition is unlikely to improve further.

Richard Lowes, a partner at BLB Solicitors, said “this is an excellent result for our client and classic example of how BLB Solicitors can turn a claim around when people have been seriously failed by their solicitors.

“Perhaps the most satisfying aspect of this case was securing early funding for intensive residential treatment which improved his condition to the extent that he could contemplate a return to employment, albeit on a part-time basis. He still suffers with the condition and in all likelihood he always will, but at least there is now some consolation for him that he and his family have a little financial security.”
