BLB partner addresses pain conference

Mark Tawn, a partner at BLB Solicitors, was a keynote speaker at the annual Medico-Legal Pain Conference, held on 13 September 2012, at Peterhouse College, Cambridge.

The conference, which is organised by Cambridge-based Dr Rajesh Munglani, a leading consultant in pain medicine, brings together medical consultants and lawyers with a special interest in chronic pain litigation.

Mark spoke on the fundamental importance of expert witness evidence in personal injury claims involving chronic pain. Following the conference, Mark said “”it was a huge privilege to be asked to speak at this year’s conference. The world of chronic pain litigation is a small one and most of the leading professionals, doctors and lawyers, attend. It provides the perfect opportunity to learn the latest developments, both medical and legal, in this highly complex area of litigation.””

This year’s conference proved just as successful as the inaugural conference in 2011 and another is planned for 2013.
